How we ask everyone to enjoy Velour together.
Velour is a small, communal space. We've designed it to feel calm, focused, and welcoming. These guidelines help us keep it that way for everyone — the person working alone, the couple sharing a pot of filter, and the regulars who've been coming since we opened. Thank you for reading them.
We don't do table service. Please order and pay at the counter. Our team will call your name or bring your drink over if the café is full.
Laptops are welcome Monday to Friday until 1:00 PM. After that, we ask that screens are closed so the afternoon café can breathe. On weekends, we prefer a screen-free environment.
When we're busy, we kindly ask that you limit your stay to about two hours so that others have a chance to enjoy the space. If it's quiet, stay as long as you like.
Please don't bring outside food or beverages into the café. We have a small but thoughtful food menu prepared in-house, and we'd love you to try it.
We play music we love at a volume that allows for conversation. We ask that phone calls be kept short and taken near the door. No speakerphones inside.
This is a space for everyone. Hateful language, harassment, or discriminatory behavior of any kind will result in being asked to leave. No exceptions.
We love dogs. Calm, leashed, well-mannered dogs are welcome in the outdoor seating area. Please clean up after your pet.
Our Saturday cupping sessions are free but space is limited to 10 guests. Please reserve your spot through our contact form at least 48 hours in advance.
If you have any questions about our café or guidelines, please don't hesitate to reach out at [email protected] or stop in and speak with our team. We're always happy to talk.
